Dark Myth Pictures Acquires Broadcasting Rights To New Animated Series "Monkey Ears" Dark Myth Pictures to start development on animated series as soon as December 29th.
Apple Valley, Ca. December 20, 2011 - Dark Myth Pictures (a division of Dark Myth Production Studios) announced today it has entered into a program license agreement for "Monkey Ears" with creator Christopher Bailey. The deal includes the first ten seasons of the franchise, which will premiere on-line as 'webisodes' beginning in 2013, as well as the next two seasons if produced. "Monkey Ears" is a show that centers on a small group of socially awkward, pot smoking teenage delinquents, Monkey Ears and his crew, who live in the town of Getts, Florida. They have no apparent adult supervision at home, are woefully undereducated and dim-witted, are barely literate, and lack any empathy or moral scruples. "Monkey Ears" premieres its pilot webisode next October.
The development of the teaser, which is outlined to be thirty (30) to forty-five (45) seconds long, is planned to be produced in a private studio in California. Officials say that the teaser will not contain excerpts from the series itself, and is to be done as a segment rather than a teaser trailer.
An independent script for the pilot is currently being developed, as well as a complete production schedule; to be written and directed by David K. Montoya.
"If handled correctly, 'Monkey Ears' could become one of television's most powerful animated franchises, and Dark Myth Pictures is proud to add it into our 2012 project line-up," said said David K. Montoya, Dark Myth Production Studios' Chief Executive Officer and President.
The casting is set to start in January, even though the start date for pre-production is targeted for May, 2012.

Horrotica Publications Announces Release Of Destiny West's, "LAMIA—THE AWAKENING" Australian Author Destiny West publishes debut book with Horrotica Publications.
Twin Falls, ID, November 29, 2011. After great anticipation Horrotica Publications (an imprint of Dark Myth Publications) is pleased to announce the public release of their newest book this year: Destiny West's, "Lamia-The Awakening"
Abandoned shortly after birth into the care of an English Holy order, Lamia was a feared and hated child—a Nihilistic heretic who despised authority and convention. Finally rescued by her uncle and benefactor, the Machiavellian Charon, she is introduced into fashionable eighteenth century England.
All seemed well until Lamia was seduced by Charon, and she then became embroiled in a double life of swirling decadence and orgiastic blood rituals; for Lamia was a vampire, the deadly descendant of an ancient family line. Hardened by an underworld of sexual vice, snuff movies, and ritualistic killings, Lamia’s darkening world starts to spiral in on itself.
This story offers a no-holds-barred look into the secret, true life of Vampires—how they live, how they love, and how they kill. Not for the squeamish or faint of heart, “Lamia—The Awakening” will grab hold of you and not let go until the very last page.
"With her first novel Destiny West has opened a doorway on vampire lore that few readers are aware of, and some may find too disturbing. This is not a rewrite of "Twilight," but a look at vampire lives away from the cinema, where blood, sex, and death tell the story," said Terry D. Scheerer, Chief Operating Officer and Editor in Chief of Dark Myth Production Studios.
Destiny West began writing professionally in the UK in 2000, and since then her work has been published in various anthologies and magazines. Known for her extreme horror writing which leaves nothing unsaid nor a page unturned, West has also been known to write erotica and most of her horror stories contain sexual content and is not for the faint of heart nor a weak stomach.
"Lamia--The Awakening." 212 pages. ISBN: 978-1-105-17319-6 $14.95 plus shipping and handling, and is available at MythMart (www.darkmythproductions.com/mythmart), BarnesandNoble.com Amazon.com, as well as Target.com.

Dark Myth Publications To Launch A Dark Erotica Imprint Called Horrotica Publications First Horrotica Publications Titles to be Published in September 2011.
Twin Falls, ID, August 26, 2011. Terry D. Scheerer, Chief Operating Officer and Editor in Chief of Dark Myth Production Studios, announced today that the company is starting a new imprint for fans of dark erotic horror that will be called Horrotica Publications.
"Our goal is to publish provocative, compelling books and magazines that explores the twisted world of Dark Erotica," said David K. Montoya, Chief Executive Officer and President of Dark Myth Production Studios. "Once Horrotica Publications gets ramped up, we aim to publish in a aggressive manor to please the raising number of Horrotica fans."
"We've had a number of requests for novels with a Dark Horror theme, and I am pleased to finally be able to supply our fans with such books," said Terry D. Scheerer, Chief Operating Officer and Editor in Chief of Dark Myth Production Studios.

Do they exist? Read the book and decide for yourself.
* Horrotica Magazine: Volume Four Issue Five, by Terry D. Scheerer, with Hydra M. Star, August 2011

Veteran Author Terry D. Scheerer Releases a New Fantasy Book of Short Stories With Dark Myth Scheerer publishes new fantasy anthology with Dark Myth Publications.
May 30, 2011, Apple Valley Ca. After great anticipation, Dark Myth Publications (a division of Dark Myth Production Studios) is proud to announce the public release of their newest project this year by veteran author, Terry D. Scheerer, titled "The Dragon Hunters and Other Fantasy Tails," a collection of fourteen fantasy short stories.
In Fantasy Tails of Yore our reader joins "The Dragon Hunters as they track down a dragon to steal her magic horde, but may be surprised to discover the truth behind such a treasure. In "A Foul Business by Any Name" our two intrepid hunters are back, but have blown through their small fortune and find that the local government now seeks a tax on their former windfall. Earl Richford is ready to do battle in "Final Gambit" as a horde of invaders approach his castle, only to be laid low when attacked from behind by his new wife. A small thief manages to sell some illegal dragon scales to the prince of Gar, but he discovers "All that Glitters" is not always the best form of payment. In "Rampant and the Dragon" a young boy is sent out to do battle with a dragon which has harassed his village for months, but finds that his mental strength may be a more important weapon against this beast than the sword he carries. Within "The Empire Chronicles" deceit, espionage, murder and treason are only a few of the problems Princess Irayan must deal with when she returns home after many years away from her kingdom and birthplace. And pay close attention or you may just miss a "Requiem for Turnip Bill."
The more Contemporary Fantasy Tails include the story of a man who has a chance encounter with a famous 1950s pin-up model in "Blind Betty"--or was it just his imagination? A couple of Dimensional Time-Frame Investigators attempt to help a woman find her missing husband in "Overhill and Dale," but feel the case may be too much for them to handle. Take a small leap of faith in "The Ladder," and when you die perhaps you may meet "The Riders of Heaven." Need to be someplace important? You might as well be "Dead and Ferried." If you require assistance around the house our "Aye, Robot" may fill the bill, or if you find yourself stressed out and late for an appointment, "A Small Pearl of Wisdom" might just make your day--but then again, maybe it won't.
"This book has been a long time in preparation," said author Terry D. Scheerer. "My first story sale and publication came in 2001, and during the past ten years I have written dozens of fantasy tails. This new book contains fourteen of the best of these stories, three of which have never seen print before."
"I've been waiting over five years for this second book to happen, since I finished Scheerer's "Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Night" in 2005," said David K. Montoya, Dark Myth's Chief Executive Officer and Publisher. "As a fan of Fantasy I loved this book."
For the first month, "The Dragon Hunters and Other Fantasy Tails" (Trade paperback, 264 pages; $10.95 plus shipping and handling) will be exclusively available at MythMart (www.darkmythproductions.com/mythmart), and then will become available at BarnesandNoble.com, Amazon.com, as well as Target.com.

DARK MYTH COMICS ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTION! After nineteen years, Dark Myth Comics plans to put more focus on its Graphic Novels.
Apple Valley, CA, February 10, 2011 -- Dark Myth Comics (a division of Dark Myth Production Studios) publisher of Sgt. Iron, Ayot Nom and SmasH, announced today that they are pairing with a new distributor to bring their new comic medium known as graphic novels to major retail outlets nationwide.
Dark Myth Comics will be stepping back from traditional comic books and individual one-shots, to produce graphic novels only. The new graphic novel planned for a late 2011 release was inspired by classic EC Comics titles and like the golden years of comic publishing, Dark Myth Comics plans to produce a product which will contain five stand alone stories that will vary in genres. The title of the book, Chronicles of the Unknown, entails just that to the reader: a book filled with several types of stories, none related to the other.
"Chronicles of the Unknown is a major turning point in the history of how we do comics," said David K. Montoya, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Dark Myth Production Studios. "This book has the potential to generate national headlines and bring old and new readers to the Dark Myth Comics world."
"I look forward to this project," said Terry D. Scheerer, President and Editor in Chief of Dark Myth Production Studios. "It will give us the opportunity to incorporate an older classic comic with something new and hopefully just a bit different."
To further promote today's announcement, Dark Myth Comics will be offering a free sneak preview of the first issue of Chronicles of the Unknown on-line at their website (www.darkmythcomics.com), which will be available later this year.
ABOUT Dark Myth Comics: Dark Myth Comics is one of the fastest growing underground publishers of comics today. Also, with a mature reader line in devolvement, and with an up and coming M-Kids line, aimed for children aged seven years and younger, Dark Myth Comics aims to offer a complete line of comics for every age group and literary taste.

With Dark Myth Production Studios' New Owner Comes Major Changes Montoya regains ownership of the company and vows serious improvements!
Apple Valley, CA, January 03, 2011 --Today Dark Myth Production Studios announced that ownership of the company has returned to Founder and former owner, David K. Montoya. The rights to the company were returned after L. Alan Russo Jr. and his The New Blood Films Company were unable to meet payment arrangements stated in the contract of sale made in 2010.
Montoya, 33, returned as Dark Myth Production Studios' Chief Executive Officer and Publisher in November of last year, after a series of mismanagement errors were made which left the company in serious financial debt. As of December 1, 2010 (the last day of the first quarter), Mr. Montoya announced that the company was once again in the black, and while it was a small profit margin, he was still able to turn a profit in just a little over a Month.
After obtaining ownership of the company, Mr. Montoya announced that he will be implementing new changes within Dark Myth. His first change was to reinstate Terry D. Scheerer as President of the company. Mr. Scheerer was also named Editor in Chief of 'Horrotica' Magazine, as well as Dark Myth Publications. And Montoya also secured an agreement with Steve Bolin to remain as Editor in Chief for 'The World of Myth' Magazine.
"Dark Myth was a growing company before the mistaken sale this past summer. Now, with David K. Montoya back at the reins and a positive bank balance once again, I see only growth and good things ahead for Dark Myth Production Studios," said Terry D. Scheerer, Dark Myth's returning President and Editor-in-Chief.
Next, Montoya dissolved the executive staff of Dark Myth and imported each executive's job duties under the Chief Executive Officer's title. Once he felt his management team was in order, Montoya turned his attention to their products and reunited with longtime distributor (Lulu.com) to have Dark Myth titles returned to major store chains.
"I would again like to thank each of our readers for remaining loyal fans, and hope they enjoy the ride as we move toward major changes within Dark Myth Production Studios," said David K. Montoya, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Dark Myth Production Studios, "in order to secure our place in the publishing world for another eighteen plus years!"
Dark Myth has also announced that in 2011, they will be opening a new on-line store which will feature not only Dark Myth related products, but non-related items as well.

Major Meltdown at Dark Myth as Two Top Executives Suddenly Quit President and Chief Financial Officer unexpectedly leave.
Apple Valley, CA, November 09, 2010 -- The executive turmoil at the very top of Dark Myth continues, as the company announced today the sudden and unexpected resignations of two top executives, including President and Chief Operating Officer, Christopher A. Glumm.
The other executive who suddenly quit, was Chief Financial Officer, Angel Bruckheimer.
While some at Dark Myth are trying to spin it as an ouster, remaining member of the Board of Directors Fred Matheson, said that Glumm, who presides all the subsidiaries at Dark Myth, has wanted to leave the company for a while, and was unable to be convinced to stay on by CEO Lawrence Alan Russo.
Why Bruckheimer, who works directly for Glumm, is leaving now is uncertain, although officials said a lot of financial control over properties under him is being moved over to The New Blood Films Company's Chief Financial Officer.
Glumm was hired several months ago by Russo, and he has brought in many former colleagues to top product jobs at the company. And he's appeared to have won the latest corporate power play too.
In addition, Russo's frequent shoot-from-the-hip remarks appear to have alienated a number of partners, most recently in a email.
Later this week, the remaining board members will hold their biweekly meeting at Dark Myth to try to figure out how to deal with the burgeoning management issue.
Some speculate that they will hire a second-in-command to Russo, who might be able to take over for Glumm when as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Russo declined to comment.

Dark Myth Publications Pulls Books from Shelves Dark Myth Publications removes titles from big book chains.
Apple Valley, CA, August 11, 2010. Today Christoper Glumm, President and C.O.O. of Dark Myth Production Studios, announced today that the first official act as the company's new president and chief operating officer was to end the contract with long time distributors Lulu Distributions and pull all of their titles from large chain book stores, such as Barnes & Nobles and Borders.
"It is nothing personal against the big name book stores. I feel that the distribution company which we were contracted with did not meet our needs to bring in higher revenue," said Christoper Glumm, Dark Myth's President. "Until we can meet those needs, I feel that using big stores would be defeating the overall purpose."
For the past six years Dark Myth Publications (a subsidiary of Dark Myth Production Studios) has used Lulu Distributions to act as the middleman between them and the big names.
"I support Christoper's decision to pull the contracts. I feel that when you use a print-house distributor there is an opportunity for thousands of dollars in revenue to be lost," said L. Alan Russo Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dark Myth Production Studios.
Mr. Glumm explained that all Dark Myth titles will be available exclusively at their online store MythMart© (http://darkmythproductions.com/mythmart/) at a huge discounted price.
The changes will be in affect by the end of this week.
About Dark Myth Publications:
Dark Myth Publications is an independent trade book publisher, and is also is a magazine publisher--publishing 2 on-line titles that are read worldwide more than five to six thousand times on a bimonthly basis. Sara Saint John Returns to Dark Myth with a Book of Short Stories
February 15, 2010, Apple Valley Ca. After great anticipation, Dark Myth Publications (a subsidiary of Dark Myth Production Studios) is proud to announce the public release of their newest project this year by award winning author, Sara Saint John, titled BLACK HEARTS AND RED BLOOD DREAMS: Tales of Terror and the Supernatural, a collection of fourteen dark short stories and one poem.
Come. Let us journey to another world, a place of fable and myth, where the Harlequin dances as he strives to regain his humanity, and where Beauty meets her Beast under the Fathers' watchful eyes. Let us go to the place where McCollister tries a blood ritual with a Testament bound in human skin. Or we can tour the Gallery of the Midnight Heart, where Selena finds art often imitates life. We can visit Alan as he discovers life might even imitate a DVD, as it does in The Portal. Then let us journey back to the days of yore, where we'll learn the real meaning of the word "Monster." And if we decide to take a side trip through the woods, we must be sure to visit a certain isolated cabin, where the occupants use something other than latex to paint its walls. These are only a few of the stops waiting for us in Black Hearts, Red Blood Dreams: Tales of Terror and the Supernatural.
"I'm so excited about working with Dark Myth Publications," said author Sara Saint John. "Once again, Dark Myth has given me a chance to share my stories, and for that I'm grateful. As a writer, there's nothing I enjoy more than using the page to communicate with my readers and sharing with them a love of the macabre."
"Sara Saint John is a natural story-teller, and her tales of horror will chill you through and through," said Terry D. Scheerer, Dark Myth's President and Editor in Chief. "I absolutely enjoyed this book."
For the first month, BLACK HEARTS AND RED BLOOD DREAMS: Tales of Terror and the Supernatural (Trade paperback, 158 pages; $12.95 plus shipping and handling) will be exclusively available at MythMart (www.darkmythproductions.com/mythmart), and then will become available at BarnesandNoble.com, Amazon.com, as well as Target.com.

Dark Myth Production Studios Announces Restructuring Expects to Reduce Costs and Operating Expenses by 2010
APPLE VALLEY, CA., June 22, 2009. Dark Myth Production Studios today announced plans for restructuring, following an analysis of the company's structure and efficiency. As a result of this restructuring, the company expects to generate savings in costs and operating expenses by the end 2009. In 2010 the company expects savings from this restructuring to grow to approximately $10 Thousand annually.
The savings are a combination of non-workforce related steps and a significant reduction in Dark Myth Production Studios' workforce. The company's employee population will decline to approximately 20-25 by the end of this year, resulting from workforce reductions, attrition and previously announced actions. The workforce decline will go into affect by the middle of this month. In addition to the savings from the workforce reduction, the company expects savings in merchandising expenses, capital and materials.
"This was very hard to do (letting people go)," said Mario E. Martinez, Dark Myth Production Studios President and Chief Financial Officer. "Everybody within Dark Myth Productions Studios plays an important role and I did not want to see anyone leave, but with the economy the way it is this had to be done. As mentioned in a previous release, myself and Mr.Montoya have even stopped our side projects within the company to cut costs. I hope in they future we will be able to bring everyone back and get Dark Myth Productions Studios back to its original numbers, and with the current blue print laid out we should be able to."
Most job reductions this year will occur in management, marketing and information technology functions; reductions related to the previously announced sale of businesses and attrition. In 2010 the reductions will be more broadly based as Dark Myth Production Studios improves the company's efficiency.
In 2010 the company expects the cost and operating expense savings from this restructuring to grow to approximately $25 Thousand, as it achieves the full-year run rate on the projects implemented in 2009. In addition, Dark Myth Production Studios expects to achieve a capital expenditure avoidance by better utilizing manufacturing equipment and space. The company expects that approximately 25 percent of the project's savings in 2009 will reduce cost of sales, and the rest will reduce operating expenses.
Dark Myth Production Studios is currently in its quiet period, so an update to its business outlook will not be made at this time. Further information concerning savings and costs related to the restructuring project will be provided in quarterly earnings releases and related business outlook estimates. The earnings release for the second quarter of this year is scheduled for publication July 6.

Dark Myth Pictures pulls plug on 'Body Bag'
APPLE VALLEY, CA., June 26, 2008--Dark Myth Pictures (a subsidiary of Dark Myth Production Studios) announced today that effective August 1, 2008, production of "Body Bag" has been cancelled. Dark Myth management made the announcement to staff earlier today.
"This was a difficult decision," said David K. Montoya, President and Chairman of Dark Myth Production Studios. "But the new fiscal year forced Dark Myth management to closely examine each project within the Dark Myth organization. It's important that we spend our financial resources wisely."
"Body Bag" had been slated for preproduction since January 2007. Since its inception two years ago, the project has hit several problems along the way, from two different leading actresses dropping out, to a seven month legal battle over the rights.
"Body Bag" executive producer Kevin Magnus has been reassigned to the role of senior producer for the next project.
"Body Bag" was originally created in May, 2000, for New Blood Films (NBF). The original script was written by NBF CEO L. Alan Russo Jr. and Dark Myth Founder David K. Montoya. One month after the script was written Russo (who directed the film) wrapped the project. A short time later the 'original' "Body Bag" movie was released on VHS, locally in the tri-southern region. Six years after the original release Russo contracted Montoya to 'revise' the script. Less then a month later New Blood Films went out of business and Dark Myth Pictures quickly picked up the rights, and the revised version has been scheduled for production ever since.
It is in question when the project will be reviewed for reinstatement of production.
